Trading Watchlist for July 25, 2025: Market Trend Still Hot & These Stocks Are in Play
The market has now been trending over the 9 EMA and 20 SMA for over 90 days—something I haven’t seen often in 15+ years of trading. That kind of consistent strength opens up huge opportunity for both day traders and swing traders. We’re seeing gains across all sectors—big caps, small caps, and even meme names. When the whole market is running, your job is to be aggressive—but smart.
Here’s what I’m watching for Friday, July 25th:
Market Overview
SPY continues its steady uptrend, showing no sign of exhaustion just yet. Even IWM is trending above its 200-day moving average. That kind of participation from mid- and small-caps shows this isn’t just a tech-led rally. It’s broad. But remember: when you see pot stocks, shipping stocks, and low-float junkers start flying, we’re in the frothy stage. That means risk management is more important than ever—even while we stay aggressive.
Top Stocks on My Radar
- BE: Beautiful setup here with strong location for continuation.
- COIN: 50-point pullback into the bone zone after 4 red days. Watching the $388 area.
- MSTR: Also down 50 points—same zone. Good bounce spot.
- DASH: Compression breakout forming. Could be a swing if the market holds up.
- AMD: Volume accumulation is strong. Flag breakout forming—red to green setup possible.
- MU: Reclaimed the 50 SMA after a $20 pullback. Looks ready for a swing if it holds.
- SMR: 9.8% ATR and tons of volume. EMA pullback and flag breakout—textbook.
- RDDT: Nice “Nike swoop” pattern forming. Watching for a continuation trigger.
- UNITY (U): Pullback into the bone zone post breakout. Eyeing the $34 area.
- LTBR: Speculative nuclear play. Needs volume but could rip above $17.
Pro Tip for Traders
If you want extended runs, you must accept drawdowns. The key is to just manage the risk aggressively and know how much you have on the table at all time in potential losses. Here is a good blog on just managing Risk Management for your trading account. You can’t trade scared and expect big wins. Be prepared for a “rug pull” day. That’s just how trends work. One thing ive Learned in the last 20 years is that these trends can get wild and you have to smash them and really make your mark.
And don’t forget the power of pre-market trading—a lot of opportunities lately have been happening early. Get up, check news plays, and be ready. Discipline starts before the bell.
