The stock market is gearing up for a big gap up on May 29, 2025, following Nvidia’s earnings report—and it’s putting semiconductor and AI stocks in the spotlight. I broke this all down in today’s video from my hotel room (yup, I’m at a wedding), but I had to jump on and talk about what’s shaping up to be a monster trading day.
While NVDA’s earnings weren’t mind-blowing, they were good enough in this frothy market to launch a rally. The QQQ is flagging even in after-hours trading, and futures traders are having a field day. AVGO is already pushing to new all-time highs and leading the pack.
Here’s the game plan: we’re in FOMO territory, so tomorrow’s open could see some serious gap chasing. Be cautious—stocks like NVDA, SMCI, and PLTR have already been running in anticipation. If they open too hot, we could get a fade before things stabilize.
For swing setups, I’m watching Rivian, Unity, and Oust. These names have strong technical structures and sectors that align with the post-NVDA environment. I’m especially eyeing RIVN for cheap calls, and SMCI looks great if it can hold its current flag.
Shorts? Yes—OkLO is on short watch if it hits $60. This thing has run hard and might give a clean fade.
AI, semiconductors, and speculative momentum names are going to be the themes tomorrow. AVGO, TSM, and even SoundHound are in the conversation. This is a time to stay sharp, stay tactical, and avoid getting smoked chasing the open.
