This continues the "peak inflation" narrative that the market wants to get behind as evidenced by the big 5-7% premarket pop in most of the major indexes. After a strong open the market seems to remembered it still has Powell to contend with tomorrow. While the market is still up, it's off highs. Regardless, this is still good news and if Powell says the right things tomorrow, we are very likely to see a strong end of year rally playing off seasonality and peak inflation and rate slowdown themes. One of the most important charts out there is the US Dollar and ETF UUP broke down below it's key 200ma. Remember, there has been an inverse relationship between UUP and the market. The more UUP slides the better it is for bullish traders. I took profits in NVDA this morning as it hit the entry profit target off a 7% pop this morning. While the pattern is good and it remounted the 200ma, taking profits here mitigates risk going into Fed. Still holding SHOP and TQQQ. There are plenty of good setups as we head toward EOY trading.
