Indexes and Game Plan
SPY within range on low volume, which is to be expected during a holiday week. Seasonality favors more upside heading into the new year so the game plan is to continue to look for long setups within the focus list momentum stocks.
While holiday weeks are low volatility and the likeliness of a big move is decreased, it is a good spot to time consolidation entries within momentum stocks.
IWM has formed a large cup and handle like formation. A pullback to the 20 dma, or breakout sets up a late year seasonality entry.
Today's Trades
I continue to hold TSLA, Z and my partial position in BITA. All are above entry levels. For those looking to enter, they are still good setups. The hammer and moving average held for TSLA, Z is still in the breakout-pullback/remount formation and BITA has formed a classic breakout-pullback.
Sector Watch
Emerging markets, India, Brazil and Gold Miners all pulled back near entry levels. These are at the top of the focus list tomorrow (see video).
Breakouts
I am keeping a close eye on high tight flag setups TQNT, AMED, BWLD and TTWO (see video).
With earnings season coming to an end, we continue to watch the attractive earnings breakouts we collected. The good ones are forming ranges and some will become the next momentum players.
