Now the big question that needs answering over the coming weeks is whether or not this is a a bear market rally that ultimately fails or a true bottom. Stats can be cherry picked for either outcome. The only way to know is to continue to do what we have been doing, which is follow price action and market breadth closely. If our market breadth indicators improve and price takes out outside resistances (today did neither of these), we will slowly get bullish. If we do not see improvement and price nears resistance levels and fails, we'll re-establish shorts. This is how you play a bear market. You don't guess or blindly go with biases and hunches. That's gambling and should be saved for Vegas.Tomorrow I will likely add a few low risk feelers if the market holds today's bounce.In today's video I again discuss the power of these leveraged ETFs when the market is moving in unison. Stocks can't compete with the 14-22% gains in SPXL, TQQQ, LABU, etc. These are the trading vehicles we will focus on (SPXL, TNA, TQQQ, SOXL, LABU, UWT, ERX, FAS, RETL), although we will watch a few stocks as well.Oil was strong today and put in a "rubber band" long setup.Patience is key right now. I am content to be in cash unless we get strong signals.Trading vehicles include ETFs and big tech stocks.India and Brazil are still showing relative strength. Financials and oil are very oversold.We are sitting on a 33% gain in 2018 which is obviously crushing the market's -6% loss, giving us an alpha of 39%.
