Today’s daily trading watchlist rides on one thing: QQQ defended the 20-SMA + prior breakout and trended. We faded late on NVDA hoopla, so tomorrow’s job is simple—hold the 20-SMA and I stay bullish; lose it and I let it drift toward the 50-SMA and reset.
Market read (fast):
- 20-SMA defense = buyers showed up where they had to.
- If that level goes, I stop forcing longs and let bases reform.
- Earnings tape is spraying opportunities—gappers with range/liquidity win.
A-List Trades
- LMND – Earnings gap-and-grind with 50M-style liquidity and clean sashays. Best case is a weak open → red-to-green through opening range highs; risk under OR low/VWAP. Targets: 100 → 105 → 115 if it stays one-directional.
- AMD – Bears tried to crack it; bulls defended the breakout + 20-SMA. I’ll buy higher-low holds above 9/20 with room to recent highs; lose 20-SMA on volume and I’m out.
- TSLA – Vote catalyst. 470 is the line; heavy 480 call flow in play. Break and hold above 470 with volume = go; fail and it’s a fade back into range.
- QS – PR pop with ~50M shares. Not an open-print chase. I want the 10am confirmation: undercut → remount VWAP/9EMA → scale into the trend.
- BE – Daily trader: liquid + double-digit ATR. Treat it like a futures contract—respect levels, keep stops mechanical.
- CIFR ↔ IREN – Same trade family. If one stalls, pivot to the other. Use VWAP as your governor.
- SOFI – B+ swing look above the 20 if it tightens one more day.
- SHOP – Textbook 50-SMA tag + bounce. I want a morning meander (higher low) then push.
- W – Earnings flag in the bone zone; breakout/stop is clean.
- DOCU – Needs more time; treat as a swing only after a tight box forms.
Execution Rules (don’t skip):
- Congeal rule: Let patterns tighten before you press (no first-slice pizza hands).
- Location first: R2G or 9/20 remounts at real levels > predictions.
- Scale outs: Pay yourself on pushes; don’t turn winners into “hope.”
- Hard stops: No “mental” stuff—mental stops are how accounts disappear.
- Theme rotation: If two ideas in a theme misfire, rotate—don’t grind.
