Short Squeeze stocks

Is there any information on the site as to what makes for a good short squeeze on a stock?  Thanks.

Reply:   I use shortsqueeze.com  there are many ways to play shorts. from big sector momentum runs where I might scan for heavily shorted stocks that can add fuel to the fire. Or often  I look for a stock thats about to breakout like an AMED or INCY that has a huge short float but is near highs.  Once it breaks past highs...theoretically all the shorts are underwater which means the logical ones would cover which adds a lot of gas to the burner.  check out GMCR earlier this year when it was in the 50s.  It had over 50% of the float short. That coupled with great earnings, plus break past resistance really gave it a kick.

Long these lines, I'm looking at APWR whose float is 32% (yowza) short w/ 4.2 days to cover:  http://shortsqueeze.com/?symbol=apwr&submit=Short+Quote%99

I'm trying to verify whether than information is as of  Nasdaq data released March 9, or some other date.  That's one thing I don't fully have a handle upon - the data 'as of' lag vs. potential squeeze impact.

The stock jumped a tad recently on news that the company have chosen to build a plant in Nevada, home of Senate majority leader Harry Reid (a powerful geez) who bragged on the 1000 jobs this will create.  Today, US governors are submitting a plea to the White House and Congress asking them to back wind power in the US.  That link to jobs was key so I like this thing for a swing or longer-term.Earnings are April 5.  As of today, the sector (China energy) isn't in great favour and of course there is the 'why the hell is the short float so huge?' question.
