I run scans all the time.  Here is a scan I run to find find momentum stocks.  The list is dynamic as 1 dip in the market (like yesterday) can change the whole nature of the list. See stocks with momo go up the fastest when market runs and drop like a bag of terds when market dips.

This is a great place if your a swingtrader for a watchlist.  If you see the stocks many of them share the same characteristics.  Lots are low float, chinese etc.  But they have behaved differently the last week.

So there are different setups in this group. Some are flagging, some are pulling back to support, and others are in the process of breaking out again!

How to use this list?

Highlight the tickers.  Paste them into finviz.  All the charts will show up on 1 page with all their fundamental data and news! That easy people.  Then narrow it down to what interests you and voila!

have a good day

Thanks Kunal. Do you do your scans on Finviz? Could you blog or do a webinar showing how you run scans. I learned to scan for High Tight Flag b/o on finviz from mdabbles but am very curious how you seem to find your great boom stocks.

flyballoon this type of scanning cant really be run on finviz there are a ton of variables that go into...You got write programmers code for what your looking and then use a powerful scanner with historical and realtime data that can be tested. Something like ESignal. its expensive.

thanks brown brad pitt... maybe one of these days you can tell us what specific variables (RSI, price, vol, etc) and values (<10, -10% from high, vol > 2x previous day vol, etc) you use. That way those of us that know a little programming can toss some of those values in there and backtest. Or hell... just throw the code up there... LOL

What are the variables to your scan or is it proprietary?
@kunal00

5star since the code also takes into account earnings surprises(which i find to bebig catalyst) fundamental factors on top of technicals. the code is almost 30 lines. u cant just plug this shit into finviz dude! u need a professional database with software

I second a webinar on running scans using different sites. Brad Pitt, you could show us a few examples for a foundation on building our own personalized scans. Do you run your scans through Esignal Kunal00? Thanks Again Mr. Smith

Lol... I'm not gonna plug it into FinViz. I'll recode it and throw it into wealth Lab and back test that biotch!
